Job Responsibilities
The Remote Customer Service Representative provides exceptional patient service on behalf of the client while contacting patients by phone to discuss medical bill payments. This role involves reviewing patient accounts, clearly explaining balance details, documenting interactions, and negotiating reasonable payment solutions.
Representatives are responsible for setting up payments via check, electronic transfer, or credit card, following all company policies and procedures, meeting established performance goals, and working closely with team leads, management, and clients to resolve disputes and ensure patient satisfaction. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Candidates should have strong customer focus, clear communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity. Basic computer skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are required.
Education and Experience
Customer service experience is preferred, and prior experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle roles is strongly preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required, and one to two years of college coursework is preferred.
